Indication:

Ledviclear is a prescription medicine contains Ledipasvir 90mg and Sofosbuvir 400mg used to treat chronic Hepatitis C infection for the genotypes of 1,4,5 or 6 with or without cirrhosis that prevent hepatitis C virus (HCV) from multiplying in human body. Ledviclear also used with Ribavirin for the patients with advanced decompensated cirrhosis for Genotype 1 or with Genotype 1 or 4 with or without compensated cirrhosis patients who had liver transplantation.

Consult with your doctor before taking the medicine Ledviclear, your liver problems and other diseases Hepatitis B history Liver transplant Kidney disease (suppose if you are on Dialysis) under the treatment of heart rhythm problem cardiocare medicines HIV or AIDS treatments Ledviclear along with Ribavirin should not use if you have the following , severe kidney disease; a hemoglobin blood cell disorder such as sickle-cell anemia or thalassemia; or if you are pregnant, or if you are a man and your sexual partner is pregnant. if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant ,inform to your doctor before taking Ledviclear Ledviclear sometimes used with ribavirin. Ribavirin can cause birth defects or death in an unborn baby. You may need to have a negative pregnancy test before taking ribavirin and every month during your treatment. Suppose you are a woman, avoid or do not take ribavirin if you are pregnant. If you are a man, avoid or do not take ribavirin if your sexual partner is pregnant.

Suppose if you are breast feeding mother to a baby ,immediatly inform to your doctor, because ribavirin passes thru the breast feeding affect the child Ledviclear approved for the age morethan 12 years Take Ledviclear exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. You can take Ledviclear with or without food. Take Ledviclear eachday at sametime until the treatment get complete. if you've never taken Ledviclear, your doctor may prescribe an 12-week course of Ledviclear regardless of whether you have irreversible liver damage (cirrhosis). Your doctor may tell you to take Ledviclear for up to 24 weeks if you have liver cirrhosis Follow your doctor's dosing instructions very carefully.

Mechanism of action:

Ledipasvir is a potent inhibitor of HCV NS5A, a viral phosphoprotein that plays an important role in viral replication, assembly, and secretion. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor of hepatitis C virus NS5B polymerase—the key enzyme mediating HCV RNA replication. The triphosphate form of sofosbuvir (GS-461203) mimics the natural cellular uridine nucleotide and is incorporated by the HCV RNA polymerase into the elongating RNA primer strand, resulting in viral chain termination.

Dosage and Administration:

Ledviclear Ledipasvir-sofosbuvir (90 mg/400 mg) is a fixed-dose combination tablet . The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects:

Adverse events associated with the use of Sofosbuvir in combination with Ribavirin may include, but are not limited to, the following

  • nausea
