Indication:

Myhep Lvir is a prescription medicine contains ledipasvir 90mg and sofosbuvir 400mg used to treat chronic Hepatitis C infection for the genotypes of 1,4,5 or 6 with or without cirrhosis that prevent hepatitis C virus (HCV) from multiplying in human body. Myhep Lvir also used with Ribavirin for the patients with advanced decompensated cirrhosis for Genotype 1 or with Genotype 1 or 4 with or without compensated cirrhosis patients who had liver transplantation.

Consult with your doctor before taking the medicine Myhep Lvir, your liver problems and other diseases Hepatitis B history Liver transplant Kidney disease (suppose if you are on Dialysis) under the treatment of heart rhythm problem cardiocare medicines HIV or AIDS treatments Myhep Lvir along with Ribavirin should not use if you have the following , severe kidney disease; a hemoglobin blood cell disorder such as sickle-cell anemia or thalassemia; or if you are pregnant, or if you are a man and your sexual partner is pregnant. if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant ,inform to your doctor before taking Myhep Lvir Myhep Lvir sometimes used with ribavirin. Ribavirin can cause birth defects or death in an unborn baby. You may need to have a negative pregnancy test before taking ribavirin and every month during your treatment. Suppose you are a woman, avoid or do not take ribavirin if you are pregnant. If you are a man, avoid or do not take ribavirin if your sexual partner is pregnant. An unborn baby could also be harmed if a man fathers the child while he is taking ribavirin. Use at least 2 effective forms of birth control to prevent pregnancy while either sexual partner is taking ribavirin. Keep using 2 forms of birth control for at least 6 months after treatment ends. Tell your doctor immediatly right away if a pregnancy occurs while either the mother or the father is taking ribavirin.

Suppose if you are breast feeding mother to a baby ,immediatly inform to your doctor, because ribavirin passes thru the breast feeding affect the child Myhep Lvir approved for the age morethan 12 years Take Myhep Lvir exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. You can take Myhep Lvirwith or without food. Take Myhep Lvir eachday at sametime until the treatment get complete. if you've never taken Myhep Lvir, your doctor may prescribe an 12-week course of Myhep Lvir regardless of whether you have irreversible liver damage (cirrhosis).

Mechanism of action:

Ledipasvir is a potent inhibitor of HCV NS5A, a viral phosphoprotein that plays an important role in viral replication, assembly, and secretion. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor of hepatitis C virus NS5B polymerase—the key enzyme mediating HCV RNA replication. The triphosphate form of sofosbuvir (GS-461203) mimics the natural cellular uridine nucleotide and is incorporated by the HCV RNA polymerase into the elongating RNA primer strand, resulting in viral chain termination.

Dosage and Administration:

Myhep Lvir Ledipasvir-sofosbuvir (90 mg/400 mg) is a fixed-dose combination tablet . The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects:

Adverse events associated with the use of Sofosbuvir in combination with Ribavirin may include, but are not limited to, the following

  • fatigue
  • nausea
  • headache
  • diarrhea
  • insomnia
