Atazor-R Tablet contains Atazanavir 300mg and Ritonavir 100mg, it is a fixed-dose combination medication used primarily in the treatment of HIV-1 infection. Atazanavir is a protease inhibitor, and Ritonavir acts both as a protease inhibitor and as a pharmacokinetic enhancer.

How Atazor-R Tablet Works (Mechanism of Action)

Atazanavir inhibits the HIV protease enzyme, preventing the cleavage of viral polyproteins and resulting in the production of immature, non-infectious viral particles. Ritonavir enhances the effect of Atazanavir by inhibiting its metabolism, thereby increasing Atazanavir plasma levels.

Dosage & Administration

The usual adult dose is one tablet (Atazanavir 300mg + Ritonavir 100mg) taken once daily with food. Dosage may be adjusted based on individual patient factors and potential drug interactions. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.

Possible Side Effects
