Medical Uses / Indications
Palboheal 125 capsule (Palbociclib) is indicated for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2-) advanced or metastatic breast cancer, usually in combination with hormonal therapies such as letrozole or fulvestrant.
How Palboheal 125 capsule Works (Mechanism of Action)
Palbociclib inhibits CDK4 and CDK6, proteins that are involved in promoting cell division. By blocking these proteins, palbociclib slows down the growth and spread of cancer cells.
Dosage & Administration
The recommended dose is 125 mg taken orally once daily for 21 consecutive days, followed by 7 days off treatment (28-day cycle). It is usually taken with food. Dosage may be adjusted based on individual tolerability and side effects.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Neutropenia (low white blood cells), fatigue, nausea, hair loss, diarrhea, mouth sores, decreased appetite, infections.
- Serious: Severe neutropenia, febrile neutropenia, lung inflammation (pneumonitis), blood clots, liver function changes.
Contact your healthcare provider if you experience signs of infection, unusual bruising, shortness of breath, or severe fatigue.
Drug Interactions

Precautions

Storage & Handling

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is within 12 hours of your next scheduled dose. Do not take two doses at the same time. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose and continue with your regular schedule.
