Efavirenz is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children aged 3 years and older or weighing at least 40 kg, in combination with other antiretroviral agents.

How Efcure 200mg Tablet Works (Mechanism of Action)

Efavirenz is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). It blocks the action of reverse transcriptase, an enzyme HIV needs to multiply, thereby reducing the amount of virus in the body.

Dosage & Administration

The usual adult dose is 600 mg orally once daily, preferably at bedtime, on an empty stomach to reduce side effects. Dosage may vary based on individual factors and combination regimens. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.
