Armotraz  Tablet (Anastrozole 1mg Tablet) – Overview

Armotraz  contains Anastrozole 1mg Tablet is a medication used primarily to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It belongs to a class of drugs known as aromatase inhibitors.

 Medical Uses / Indications

• Treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women
• May be used to treat advanced or metastatic breast cancer

 How Armotraz  tablet Works (Mechanism of Action)

Anastrozole blocks the enzyme aromatase, which the body uses to produce estrogen. Lowering estrogen levels slows the growth of certain types of breast tumors that require estrogen to grow.

 Dosage & Administration

• Usual dose: 1mg once daily, taken orally
• Can be taken with or without food
• Take at the same time each day for best results

 Possible Side Effects

• Common: Hot flashes, joint pain, weakness, sore throat, nausea, headache
• Serious: Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing), bone loss (osteoporosis), liver problems (yellowing skin/eyes, dark urine)

 Drug Interactions

• Estrogen-containing medications (may reduce effectiveness)
• Tamoxifen (may interfere with the action of anastrozole)
