How Zidine 300mg Tablet Works (Mechanism of Action)

Zidovudine inhibits the activity of reverse transcriptase, an enzyme crucial for the replication of HIV. By blocking this enzyme, Zidovudine prevents the virus from multiplying and reduces the amount of HIV in the body.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: Commonly 300mg orally every 12 hours (twice daily), or as prescribed by a healthcare provider
• Children: Dosage is based on body weight or body surface area; follow healthcare provider instructions
• Can be taken with or without food

Missed Dose
